Job Description:


We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at ECHN. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care services to patients of all ages.


About the Role:


This is a full-time opportunity for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to work in our fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including administering medications, operating equipment, and providing patient education.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Administer medications safely and effectively
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators, BIPAP/CPAP systems, and oxygen delivery devices
  • Provide patient education on respiratory care and disease management
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Document patient interactions and care provided in medical records

Requirements:



  • RRT or CRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • Current license from the State of Connecticut to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider (NRP) or Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advance Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications desirable
  • Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) certification desirable
  • A minimum of one year of skilled respiratory experience within the last two years
  • Ability to work well with others in a multi-task, fast-paced patient care environment
