Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. As a Neonatal ICU Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) with a commitment to pursue a BSN within 4 years of hire.
  • Current Maryland RN license or compact state license that allows practice in Maryland.
  • CPR certification and ability to pass hospital competencies, including ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
