Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse Labor and Delivery RN to join our team in Newport, Vermont.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small, tight-knit community without public transportation. Candidates will need their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be a meticulous and detail-oriented RN with a caring and compassionate approach. They will have a broad knowledge of the pediatric population, recognizing normal and abnormal presentation of the child.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and monitoring the condition of pregnant patients before, during, and after childbirth
  • Assisting doctors and midwives in the delivery of babies
  • Administering medication and conducting necessary medical procedures under the direction of healthcare providers
  • Coaching mothers during labor, including breathing and relaxation techniques
  • Providing postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with breastfeeding

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends
