About the Position
The Regulatory Technology Program Manager will play a pivotal role within the Enterprise Program Management team, overseeing a portfolio of initiatives aimed at enhancing the organization's technology control framework. This portfolio, known as 'RegTech', encompasses areas such as Information Security, Technology Operational Risk, Data Governance, Privacy, and the utilization of technology to bolster compliance and control efforts. This individual will be tasked with executing strategic, mission-driven RegTech projects that necessitate a solid grasp of risk management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive project plans for critical initiatives and ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery. The RegTech portfolio focuses on implementing transformative risk and control initiatives across the organization. This role will report to the Business Risk and Internal Control leader for the Technology division and will involve certain BRIC responsibilities, including technology due diligence, audit support, and management of corrective action plans.
To excel in this position, the individual must effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders across technology and risk management domains and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of RegTech initiatives and assist in the planning and prioritization aligned with the Product Development Life Cycle.
- Guide projects from ideation through strategy, planning, delivery, and launch.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., InfoSec, Technology Risk, Internal Audit, Compliance) to clarify and define intricate project requirements.
- Establish and maintain project schedules by identifying and monitoring overall timelines, tasks, resources, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Comprehend project connections to internal and regulatory deadlines.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor project progress, supported by relevant metrics.
- Coordinate meetings to initiate working sessions and resolve project challenges.
- Proactively manage dependencies and impacts, collaborating with other teams to eliminate obstacles hindering success.
- Create project presentations for executive leadership detailing project status and decisions.
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to team members and stakeholders, escalating and communicating project status, issues, and risks.
- Ensure transparency and effective communication across the program team and stakeholders.
About You
- 6+ years of experience in technology control management (e.g., Technology Audit/Assurance, SOX, Technology Risk advisory) and technical program management within a technology environment, leading cross-functional teams.
- Basic understanding of platforms and technology infrastructure to facilitate interaction with engineering and operations teams.
- Familiarity with control frameworks and authoritative guidelines (e.g., SOX, CIS Critical Security Control, NIST, FFIEC).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems preferred; or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong drive and capability to deliver value to the organization.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills conducive to collaboration in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Proven experience in managing large, successful cross-functional projects.
- Experience with process and change management.
- Preferred: Experience with a Big4 firm in a technology-related advisory or assurance role.
