PKG Contracting is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional to operate and maintain heavy equipment, ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various types of heavy equipment, including dozers, excavators, front-end loaders, and forklifts.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition, adhering to company health and safety regulations.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform regular safety checks on equipment.
  • Ensure proper positioning of equipment before turning it on or off, or loading/unloading materials.
  • Monitor safe distribution of concrete and other materials.
  • Keep sites clean and safe, adhering to environmental regulations.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on equipment operation and safety procedures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed and perform other construction duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in the construction industry preferred.
  • High School diploma/GED preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Compliance with OSHA and other federal agency regulations.
  • Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
