About the Role

This role will focus on bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring software applications' swift and reliable deployment. The successful candidate will facilitate collaboration between software developers, system operators, and other IT staff to automate and streamline the organization's software development and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Microservices Architecture: Design and deploy microservice-based architectures in a cloud-native environment with a strong understanding of microservices principles, patterns, and challenges.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Construction and Management: Set up and manage complex CI/CD workflows using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar, integrating automated testing and security scanning within the pipelines to ensure code quality and security.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Use Docker for building docker images, docker-compose, and Docker file best practices, as well as container orchestration with Kubernetes, including deployments, services, ingress controllers, statefulsets, and Helm charts for package management.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi, writing, maintaining, and deploying infrastructure code to manage cloud resources efficiently and securely.
  • Cloud Platforms: In-depth knowledge of at least one primary cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) with experience in utilizing their services for deploying and managing microservices, including computing, storage, networking, disaster recovery, and security services.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation of deployment tasks, infrastructure provisioning, and operational scripts.
  • Monitoring, Logging, and Observability: Experience with tools and practices for monitoring and logging in a microservices environment, including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, DataDog, or similar tools for real-time monitoring and alerting.
  • Security Practices: Knowledge of security best practices in a DevOps context, including secrets management, network security, and compliance scanning, implementing security controls and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years of code writing and app deployment.
