Job Opportunity: Deli Assistant at Sandri Energy

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Deli Assistant to join our team at Sandri Energy in Williston, VT. As a part-time Deli Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve a variety of deli meats, cheeses, and fresh produce
  • Craft custom sandwiches, salads, and premade menu items to meet customer demands
  • Ensure the grab-and-go case is fully stocked and visually appealing
  • Support the manager with inventory, ordering, and maintaining stock freshness
  • Provide top-notch customer service, from taking orders to processing payments
  • Ensure a clean, sanitized, and safe environment by sweeping, mopping, and handling trash removal
  • Assist in daily paperwork and other tasks to keep the deli running smoothly

Physical Requirements:

The Deli Assistant role requires:

  • Standing and Bending: The ability to stand for extended periods and bend frequently to clean areas
  • Lifting and Carrying: The capacity to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items (usually up to 25-30 pounds)
  • Repetitive Motions: Involvement in repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Tasks may also include emptying trash, mopping floors, wiping down counters, and restocking cleaning supplies
