Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced painter to join our team at Wulf - Talent Hunters. As an industrial painter, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality paint finishes on various surfaces in a production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare surfaces for painting by removing dirt, grease, and old paint using brushes, scrapers, sandpaper, or chemical solutions.
  • Tape off areas not to be painted, such as windows, trim, and hardware, using masking tape and drop cloths to protect surrounding surfaces.
  • Inspect surfaces for defects, cracks, or imperfections, and perform necessary repairs or adjustments before painting.
  • Apply primer to surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint, using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
  • Apply paint evenly to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers, following specified techniques and guidelines.
  • Clean brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other painting tools after use, and properly dispose of used materials and paint waste.
  • Match paint colors to existing samples or specifications using color-matching tools and techniques.
  • Gain proficiency in using spray guns and other advanced painting equipment for more efficient and professional paint application.
  • Learn to apply textured finishes or special coatings to surfaces as required, following manufacturer instructions and industry standards.
  • Assist in performing quality checks on finished work to ensure adherence to specifications, including checking for runs, drips, or other defects.
  • Work collaboratively with other painters and warehouse staff to coordinate painting schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift experience (preferred)

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
