Job Overview

California Fresno Oil is seeking a qualified Fuel Transport Driver with a proven driving history. The ideal candidate will possess a Class A CDL along with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, as well as a minimum of one year of experience operating tractor/trailer combinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operates a semi-truck in compliance with state and federal transportation regulations.
  • Ensures timely and secure transportation of loads along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Maintains accurate documentation, including signed invoices, and submits necessary paperwork to the appropriate personnel upon completion of delivery routes.
  • Conducts routine maintenance checks on vehicles, which may involve monitoring oil, water, fuel, and air levels; reports any mechanical issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Responsible for fueling heavy machinery and generators.
  • Handles the loading and unloading of petroleum products.
  • Performs additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Possession of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Endorsement.
  • Ability to interpret general street and city signage.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and staff during deliveries.
  • No more than one moving violation in a commercial or personal vehicle within the last 36 months.
  • No more than one chargeable accident in a commercial or personal vehicle within the last 36 months.
  • No history of DUI/DWI in a commercial vehicle; applicants with a personal vehicle DUI/DWI more than 10 years ago may be considered.
  • Must fulfill all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
  • Previous experience as a Fuel Transport Driver is essential.

Full-time employees are expected to work a minimum of thirty-two (32) hours, with a regular schedule not exceeding forty (40) hours per week.
