Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician Lead to join our team at Stericycle. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing all maintenance functions, including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all buildings and grounds, as well as all plant machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties and tasks in accordance with manufacturer and Stericycle procedures, with strict adherence to relative safety programs and standards, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Confined Space, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, etc.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluation on equipment and make repairs when needed, and be willing to be on-call and respond to urgent repairs.
  • Ensure that repairs are performed properly in the shortest amount of time possible to maintain the highest level of operational readiness.
  • Perform routine, preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance on a variety of machinery within the plant, including autoclave process equipment/systems maintenance, air pollution control devices, pumps, hydraulic systems, pH control and chemical injection, fire tube boiler and ancillary equipment, steam delivery systems, water softeners and other water treatment equipment, air handling equipment, commercial washers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems.
  • Perform light electrical maintenance on all plant equipment, including 480V/240V/120V/24V power systems, PLC, robotics troubleshooting, and 4 to 20 milliamp control loop systems.
  • Assist the Facility/Maintenance Manager by performing general work or other assignments necessary to ensure a safe, clean, healthy, and efficient facility, and vigorously support Stericycle's commitment to Safety.
Requirements
  • 4 or more years of related experience and/or training, demonstrating the ability to identify repairs that are needed and to assure scheduled production run is met.
  • Use of forklifts, aerial-lifts, and various rigging equipment in the performance of maintenance activities.
  • Must have experience with the performance of LOTO out and permit confined space programs related to maintenance activities.
  • Possession of boiler, welding, or electrical certification or license is helpful.
  • Demonstrates the ability to ask questions and gather information in order to identify problems and repair or arrange for repair of machine.
  • Demonstrates the ability to think critically and remain calm during stressful situations.
  • Capable of working collaboratively in teams and alone.
  • Capable of providing feedback and participating in continuous improvement initiatives (Cause Analysis, Proactive solutions, threat detection, etc.).
  • Demonstrates the ability to function independently and resolve problems without direction.
Work Schedule

Start Time: 4:00AM-1:30PM (Mon-Fri)

Sat- Every Other Week 8 hours

Location: 7875 RA Briddeford St., Stockton, CA

Must be willing to work OT and be on call as needed

Schedule subject to change based on business needs

Certifications and/or Licenses

Boiler, welding, or Electrical Certification Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) certification
