About This Opportunity

Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in Homer, Alaska. In this role, you will provide essential respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians, including oxygen therapy, ventilation support, and pulmonary function testing.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respiratory status, identifying any changes or concerns promptly.
  • Educate patients and their families on proper breathing techniques, medication administration, and home care instructions.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to all regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy with certification and registration from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
