Job Summary

MILLENNIUMSOFT is seeking a highly skilled Scientist / Chemist to support the development, verification, and evidence generation efforts for novel diagnostic specimen preservation devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biorheology, hemodynamics, and/or hemorheology, with experience in experimentation, assay development, and technology sensing.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and execute experiments to support application development for the clinical diagnostic market.
  2. Develop and optimize assays to support internal product performance evaluations and customer application development.
  3. Participate in evidence generation efforts to verify existing and future value propositions associated with novel specimen preservation technologies.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and participate in technology sensing activities.
  5. Conduct research in areas of coagulation, clinical biochemistry, hematology, molecular diagnostics, and blood gases.
  6. Apply knowledge of biorheology and systems biology to develop new specimen collection and preservation devices.
  7. Submit patent applications and Invention Disclosure Records (IDRs).
  8. Perform technology feasibility assessments for new technology concepts.
  9. Provide general laboratory support, including SOP development and maintenance for laboratory instrumentation.
  10. Prepare technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses of assigned projects.
  11. Tabulate and analyze data using statistical software programs.
  12. Prepare protocols for complex experiments to investigate new and existing technologies.
Requirements
  • A Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, cell biology, molecular biology, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience.
  • Strong experience in biorheology, hemodynamics, and/or hemorheology is mandatory.
  • Previous Post-Doc experience is not required.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with handling biological specimens, particularly human clinical samples.
  • Experience with blood cell separation/isolation and culture.
  • General molecular biology and laboratory skills, including ELISA, immunoblotting, UV-VIS spectrophotometry, and basic chemistry.
  • Knowledge of procedures for blood borne pathogen safety.
  • Technical proficiency with MS OFFICE and knowledge of statistical analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with complex team matrixes and cross-functional environments.
  • Demonstrated successful learning agility.
