We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Char & Lemon. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Wash and Sanitize: Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand.
- Maintain Kitchen Cleanliness: Keep the kitchen and surrounding areas clean and organized, including the dishwasher, sinks, and floors.
- Monitor Equipment: Monitor the dishwasher's water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle and report any functional or mechanical problems to the Kitchen Manager.
- Stock and Store: Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas and maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
- Sort and Remove Trash: Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas, and sweep or scrub floors as needed.
- Commercial Equipment: Familiarity with commercial dishwashers, glasswashers, pot-washing machines, power washers, and drying and draining racks.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
- Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively with fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
