Veterans Eye Care Specialist

Are you a licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist looking for a meaningful part-time opportunity? MRG Exams is seeking an experienced professional to conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's SHA process.
About the RoleThis is a non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments. As part of our team, you will:
- Review Veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
- Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
- Complete and submit evaluation forms via the web portal within 24 hours of the exam.
MRG Exams offers a unique opportunity to support those who served by assisting with their healthcare assessments. Our flexible work schedule includes part-time commitment on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8am to 4pm. You will enjoy autonomy in a 1099 role and focus on assessments without treatment or determination responsibilities.
QualificationsWe are seeking a candidate who is:
- A licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.
- Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
- Credentialed to meet the VA's requirements.
- Passionate about serving Veterans.
- Skillful in analyzing medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports.
- Exceptional in both written and oral communication.
- Detail-oriented and capable of submitting forms within required timelines.
As a Veterans Eye Care Specialist, you can expect:
- A competitive estimated salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
