Job Overview:
The Electronics Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in supporting various engineering functions. This position involves a diverse range of responsibilities in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical domains. The technician will assist in the design, assembly, testing, and validation of testing apparatus. Key tasks include constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, diagnosing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, or systems. The technician will work from schematics, operational or repair manuals, engineering drawings, and both written and verbal directives. The role may involve working with intricate machinery or computer systems, operating related equipment, conducting tests, and documenting data in a specified format. Calibration and alignment checks are essential, along with making adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed. The technician will also prepare necessary compounds and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and identify issues while providing solutions to engineering teams and suggesting improvements.
- Collaborate directly with engineering to explore opportunities for enhancement.
- Clean, set up, and prepare equipment for product runs.
- Conduct laboratory support tasks, including instrument calibration, lab maintenance, inventory management, and material handling.
- Demonstrate expertise in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, soldering equipment, and epoxy dispensing tools.
- Operate under limited supervision and utilize Microsoft Office effectively.
- Lead team meetings with a constructive and positive approach.

Qualifications:
- Requires comprehensive job knowledge and skills.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory, along with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or 2 years of post-secondary/associates degree with at least 2 years of related experience.

Security Clearance:
- Top Secret / SCI with Polygraph is required upon hire and for the role.

Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation abilities.
- Leadership experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with fiber optics handling.
- Proficient in circuit card assembly soldering techniques.
