Assistant General Manager Job Description

About the Role:

The Homewood Suites by Hilton Houston - Woodlands, managed by Moody National Management, LP, is seeking a highly skilled Assistant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of quality, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the staff of multiple hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profit margins.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to set and achieve business objectives, including sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, corporate management, and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of hospitality and business management principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Intermediate proficiency with hotel-related systems and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a manager in hospitality.
