Job Summary:

The Danbury Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Associate to join our team. As a key member of our psychiatric unit, you will play a vital role in providing patient care support and coordination for ECT procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse before and after ECT procedures.
• Schedule patients for ECT and coordinate necessary space and services with PACU, OR, and Duracell Center staff.
• Maintain accurate and compliant ECT charts in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate staffing and training for ECT in consultation with Assistant Nurse Manager.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
• Assist in orienting new psychiatric technician personnel and ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a psychiatric setting or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of ECT procedures and charting requirements.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires regular shifts, including evenings and weekends. You will be working in a psychiatric unit, which may involve exposure to challenging situations and unpredictable environments.
