Job Summary

Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a critical care respiratory specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Level 3 NICU and high-volume ER.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to critically ill patients in the NICU and ER
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Operate and maintain complex respiratory equipment, including mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff education
Requirements
  • Two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a critical care setting
  • One year of travel experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Experience with Epic electronic medical records system
  • Knowledge of mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and nitric oxide delivery
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Knowledge of Servo I, V60, Nitric, 3100A, 3100B, and Jet equipment
