About the Role

CenterWell, a Humana company, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Extern to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician Extern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a mail-order pharmacy setting, working alongside licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with local, state, federal, and Company regulations.
  • Prepack stock, including preparation of equipment and pre-pack labels, packaging and labeling of product for bar-code scanning, and quality control procedures.
  • Perform stock control functions, including stock level audits, expiry date checking, stock file maintenance, and maintenance of internal stock movement.
  • General cleaning of work area and general maintenance of equipment and materials.
  • Maintain knowledge of loss prevention techniques.
  • Shadowing opportunities with various departments.
Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician certification/degree program that is affiliated with AZ College.
  • Must complete and pass Humana's background check and drug screen.
  • Must adhere to attendance policy.
  • Must have a technician in training license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Warehouse experience.
