About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiologic procedures under the direction of our Radiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic and intermediate radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, ensuring patient safety and radiation protection.
  • Identify patients, label images, and process exams to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Assist Radiologists, communicate, and consult with them as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain records, enter patient information into the radiology information system, and document billing codes.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, requiring lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), to be obtained within 6 months.
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
  • Previous C-arm experience.
Working Conditions

This role requires working every Tuesday and Thursday for X-ray, and every Monday and Friday for Bone Density. No weekends or holidays are required.
