Job Summary

National Jewish Health, a leading respiratory hospital, is seeking a skilled Medical Report Scanner to ensure the accuracy and accessibility of medical records. This crucial role involves meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in the terminal digit filing system to facilitate the smooth flow of essential information throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately retrieve and file medical records utilizing the terminal digit filing system.
  • Scanning, indexing, transporting, and retrieving medical records within the facility and patient care areas to the EMR in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and control the flow of information between the clinic and medical records for all appointments.
  • Provide scan on demand services when requested by the clinic, physician, or patient.
  • Research missing records and provide them to the clinic for patient care activities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a medical records department or medical setting preferred.
