Position Overview

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is dedicated to delivering top-tier integrated healthcare to over 800,000 members across Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

We are currently in search of a Pediatric Hospitalist who is eager to join one of the most rapidly expanding medical practices on the East Coast.

Our Pediatric Hospitalist team oversees the Kaiser Medicine Service and plays a crucial role in coordinating care for patients receiving specialty services.

Additionally, they manage the Kaiser Newborn Nursery services across various hospitals, ensuring comprehensive care for newborns.


In partnership with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, we are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered healthcare. At MAPMG, our physicians operate without the constraints of alternative payment models or fee-for-service structures. This allows for seamless access to specialists and medical records, enabling holistic patient care.


What You Can Anticipate:
  • The Pediatric Hospitalist team collaborates closely within the integrated care model of Permanente Medicine, working alongside Kaiser Pediatricians and Pediatric specialists to ensure exceptional, coordinated care.
  • Most shifts are structured as 12-hour periods with flexible scheduling options.

Essential Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Comfortable managing medically complex children in a tertiary care setting and overseeing newborn care (no delivery responsibilities)
  • Possession of or eligibility for licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
