Core Developer for Data Analytics

**About the Position:**

We are seeking an experienced Core Developer for Data Analytics to join our team at Ignite Human Capital. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying data reporting and systems. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with other programmers, departments, and stakeholders to manage deployments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database engineering and design, with experience in online analytical processing environments (OLAP) and online transaction processing environments (OLTP). Additionally, they should have expert knowledge of SQL Server versions 2016 and above and understand data warehouse concepts such as dimensional designs, star schemas, data modeling, historical and incremental data modeling, data quality, extract, transform, and load (ETL), and Query & Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop SQL Server databases for internal processes, including complex schema design, triggers, stored procedures, functions, and views.
  • Develop reporting solutions for Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and other internal systems using SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI.
  • Extract data from source systems and populate our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) using data definitions, transformation rules, data manipulation language (DML), and BI data models.
  • Provide technical direction for modernizing our Data and Analytics systems in the cloud, leveraging Microsoft's Azure services.
  • Assist with providing administrative and maintenance support for Enterprise Data and Analytics systems, web servers, and BI systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Software Development, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in database engineering and design, with expertise in OLAP and OLTP environments.
  • Expert knowledge of SQL Server versions 2016 and above and understanding of data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range of $93,000 - $130,000 per year, based on experience.
