Job Summary:
Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state, and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Either CNMT or NMTCB registered.
- BLS Certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process Nuclear Medicine examinations.
Working Conditions:
This is a PRN position, and the schedule will vary based on the needs of the department.
