Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team at Holtz Women's Hospital. This is a full-time, night shift position that requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing continuous care and management of mothers and babies throughout the maternity cycle in our Nurse Midwife Service. This includes various clinical, administrative, educational, and research duties that require licensure as a Registered Nurse Practitioner, as well as registration with the State Department of Health as a Certified Nurse Midwife.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional care for delivery-related services
  • Performing prenatal history and physical examinations
  • Completing prenatal care for normal obstetric patients
  • Diagnosing the onset of labor and performing admission history and physical examinations of patients in labor
  • Educating patients and families to facilitate and support health adjustments to new or changing health patterns
  • Facilitating continuity of care across the continuum of services
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing
  • 5-7 years of related experience
  • Valid Florida licensed RN/ARNP or eligibility for licensure as Nurse Midwife/Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
  • National Board Certification in related field required (i.e. National Board Certification Nurse Midwife or Nurse Practitioner)
