Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder in Lewiston, Maine. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
Benefits:
  • Average weekly pay: $1135
  • Hourly pay: $28.39 per hour
  • Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
  • Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
