Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Nutrition Specialist to join our team at LMR Technical Group. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert guidance and counseling on nutritional practices to enhance recovery and optimize performance for our personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based performance nutrition programs for our personnel, including individual and group counseling.
  • Provide nutritional planning and documentation that meets the highest standards of the industry.
  • Advise our leadership team on issues related to nutrition and performance nutrition.
  • Work within your scope of practice to provide administrative and clinical services, including ordering labs and developing nutritional protocols.
  • Design and implement training materials and programs to promote performance nutrition best practices.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and promulgate guidelines for rehabilitation and performance nutrition.
  • Document all work performed, including encounters, referrals, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in peer reviews and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
  • Possess a master's degree in nutrition science or a related field.
  • Hold certification from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) as a Registered Dietitian (RD).
  • Hold a specialty certification as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD).
  • Possess a current and valid state certification/licensure.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Performance Dietitian, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing performance nutrition programs.
  • Possess a current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
  • Be able to meet the physical demands of training with our personnel, including hiking over rough terrain and functioning in austere environments.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and/or documented experience in human performance research.
  • Experience working with special operations forces (SOF) personnel.
