Project H.O.M.E. is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patient oral health and identify signs of periodontal disease, oral lesions, or possible cancers.
- Assess dental condition and needs using approved patient screening procedures.
- Follow through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with prescribed treatment plans.
- Expose and mount digital radiographs.
- Apply fluoride treatment and/or protective sealants.
- Take impressions of teeth for study models, diagnostic casts, or athletic appliances.
- Administer local anesthesia.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient electronic records.
- Educate patients in oral hygiene and dental care.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of established oral hygiene concepts and periodontal therapies.
- Interact positively with a diverse patient population.
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist with PA state licensure.
- Local Anesthesia Permit.
- Current CPR (BLS) certification.
- Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner Permit strongly preferred.
- Experience with Next Gen a plus.
