We are currently in search of a Senior Accountant responsible for comprehensive accounting functions, which include the preparation of monthly financial reports, upholding accounting standards and controls for designated AMIkids affiliates, and delivering financial assistance to the administrative teams of affiliates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that financial documentation is maintained in accordance with established policies and procedures, providing financial support to affiliates with varying levels of complexity.
- Compile and assess financial data to generate monthly financial statements and support external audits, including year-over-year fluctuations and budget variance analyses, utilizing a solid understanding of accounting principles, revenue and expense recognition, contribution accounting, fixed asset evaluation, and lease accounting.
- Propose and engage in process enhancements. Maintain and update training materials, supporting schedules, and the Finance Manual.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist affiliates in tracking cash flow and overall financial health.
- Oversee and evaluate affiliate expenditures, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies, and communicate any discrepancies to management.
- Train and mentor accounting team members as well as affiliate administrative staff.
- Engage with affiliate Board members regarding financial issues.
- Maintain and refresh supporting schedules for financial statements, including reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software, network systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
