We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Rhythm Monitor Technician to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our Patient Monitoring Center (PMC), you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous monitoring of cardiac rhythms and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor Cardiac Rhythms: Observe cardiac monitors and maintain records of rhythm strips in accordance with established nursing standards and procedures.
- Interpret Rhythm Strips: Accurately interpret rhythm strips and identify any changes in baseline rhythm, including heart rate or potentially lethal rhythms in adults or children.
- Notify Staff: Notify appropriate staff of any changes in cardiac rhythms or other critical situations.
- Maintain Equipment: Ensure that alarms are on at all times and set at appropriate limits for adults and children. Check, replace, or change electrodes and batteries as needed.
- Work in a Team Environment: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: No experience required, but a strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and monitoring equipment is essential.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive movements.
