About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Travel Special Procedures Tech to join our team. As a Travel Special Procedures Tech, you will be responsible for assisting in the processing and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the decontamination, distribution, inventory, instrumentation, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Perform duties while standing, sitting, and bending or reaching for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to walk six to eight miles in an eight-hour shift and to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to communicable disease and/or body fluids.
  • Ability to work under periods of high stress and in a consistently fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow English verbal and written instructions, and perform mathematical calculations.
  • Knowledge of sterilization, packaging, and decontamination techniques.
  • Knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to complete and maintain quality assurance reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year related experience working in the healthcare field or completion of a state certified program.
  • Licensure or certification to successfully complete recognized training program and certification and to be certified eligible within 12 to 15 months after hire.
Benefits
  • Hourly salary: $16.25 per hour and then would increase depending on experience.
  • Annual salary: $33,800.
  • Agency placement fee: 25%.
