Clinical Staff Leader

Job Summary:
As a Clinical Staff Leader at MUSC, you will serve as the department's designated nurse leader, providing operational oversight and staff supervision. This role requires coordination with nursing leadership to ensure the achievement of optimal evidence-based patient care and department goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide operational oversight and staff supervision for each shift worked.
- Work in coordination with nursing leadership to achieve department goals.
- Ensure compliance with established rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Promote a Shared Governance structure and functions.
- Provide leadership presence and staff support by covering a minimum of 1 holiday per year and 2 weekend shifts per 6 weeks of unit staffing schedule.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing degree or Associates of Nursing degree and currently enrolled in an accredited BSN program with one year of work experience as a Registered Nurse required.
- Certification in specialty area is strongly preferred.
- Successful completion of CSL competency-based training is required within a designated time period.
- Extensive knowledge of the department's patient population, health care trends, community and regional resources, and service availability to these populations.
