Job Summary

This is a senior leadership role that oversees the development and implementation of facilities management strategies across the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, with experience in multi-site facilities management in a healthcare setting. The National Director of Facilities Management will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance department associates, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support community-level maintenance department associates, including onboarding, training, and vendor management.
  • Develop and implement national policies and procedures for facilities management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including fire and life safety codes.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of annual capital improvement plans and long-term projects.
  • Work with the VP of Facilities Management to review and update standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local and national vendors, service providers, and strategic partners.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness and response efforts, including disaster-related events.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of experience in facilities management, with multi-site experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present to executive leadership and communicate with residents, families, and vendors.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to lead facility-related projects from planning to completion.
  • Knowledge of fire safety, SDS, OSHA regulations, and related life safety areas.
  • Strong PC skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Office suite.
