Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Great Lakes, located in La Grange, IL. This role will provide exceptional support for interventional radiology and cardiology procedures.
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical imaging equipment, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
About the RoleThis Radiology Imaging Specialist position requires proficiency in setting up and monitoring imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting with image analysis. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, performing quality control checks, and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate smooth workflow in the cath lab, ensuring timely preparation and execution of imaging procedures.
- Collaborate closely with physicians to ensure accurate and efficient image capture and interpretation.
- Maintain high levels of patient care and satisfaction by providing clear instructions, addressing concerns, and demonstrating empathy.
- Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment, report any issues to management, and assist with troubleshooting.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and timelines.
To succeed in this role, candidates must hold a degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and have completed BLS and ACLS training through the American Heart Association. Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
