Family Preservation and Reunification Specialist

Samaritas is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Preservation and Reunification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Family Preservation Team, you will work with at-risk families to provide intensive, short-term or long-term in-home crisis intervention and family education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-home crisis-oriented treatment, education, and support to family units where one or more family members may be placed outside the home in foster, group, or institutional care or, be at-risk of being removed from the home.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each family.
  • Collaborate with referral sources, agencies, institutions, and individuals who have important roles in the family's life situation.
  • Provide advocacy and professional consultation work with the referring organization, schools, court, and other social service agencies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human service field or education.
  • Two years' experience working with children and/or families and an associate degree or credit equivalent in human services or education.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record; reliable ongoing personal transportation suitable for safely transporting clients.
