Our facility, a 180-bed community teaching hospital, is strategically located in the cultural heart of Baltimore, focusing on the management of chronic health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, pulmonary disorders, and infectious diseases.
Position Summary
- Collaborates with the attending physician to provide daily organizational and clinical leadership for the healthcare provider team.
- Conducts thorough history and physical examinations for patients admitted or scheduled for services.
- Orders, collects, and interprets relevant diagnostic tests.
- Establishes medical diagnoses based on comprehensive history, assessment, and diagnostic results.
- Develops, orders, and documents suitable treatment plans, including medication prescriptions, based on a detailed review of the patient's history and diagnostic findings.
- Master's Degree in Nursing with completion of an accredited primary or acute care Nurse Practitioner program. Must be registered and licensed with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in Maryland. Certification in the relevant specialty is required. Eligibility for DEA and CDS is necessary.
- BCLS certification as required.
