Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Power Systems Engineer to contribute to the engineering and design efforts that ensure the sustainable functionality of our distribution, generation, and storage systems. This role involves collaboration with various teams within the organization as well as external partners to develop essential technical projects.
This position falls within the Circuit Planning division for Low Voltage Distribution (LVD), which is tasked with overseeing the planning aspects of our electric distribution infrastructure. Responsibilities will include both office-based and fieldwork related to the performance of electric distribution circuits, encompassing electric planning, project management, reliability programs, customer issue resolution, and storm recovery efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex technical tasks independently while addressing intricate customer inquiries.
- Champion customer advocacy and devise system planning and performance solutions.
- Identify and evaluate reliability enhancement strategies and prepare project scope drawings.
- Analyze system power flow, develop load transfer plans, and address customer reliability concerns.
- Provide updates to customers regarding project statuses and assist in storm restoration efforts.
Qualifications:
We invite applications from candidates who possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, along with a minimum of four years of relevant engineering experience.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a non-ABET accredited university, accompanied by a Professional Engineering license and four years of applicable engineering experience.

- In-depth knowledge of relevant codes in electronic engineering.
- Proficiency in design and calculation software.
