We are seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team at Allan Myers. As a key member of our pipe crew, you will be responsible for operating excavators to perform various tasks, including excavating, laying pipe, and moving and grading dirt.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance duties, such as cleaning, greasing, and oiling machines, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Operational Efficiency: Adjust hand levers and depress pedals to operate equipment and control attachments, such as blades, buckets, and swing booms, to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Job Planning and Execution: Discuss daily work plans with field managers, review blueprints as necessary, and determine the best method to complete assigned tasks safely, accurately, and on time.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to Allan Myers' policies, including equipment repair and maintenance procedures, operator safety standards, and home safe tonight policies.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating equipment for water mains, storm or sanitation sewers.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) a plus.
- Related Work Experience: Relevant work experience in the construction industry.
