Job Overview

This position is an essential part of the MemorialCare Health System team, responsible for maintaining the hospital facilities in a clean, safe, and healthy environment. As a Housekeeper I PD, you will perform a variety of housekeeping duties to ensure the hospital meets high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to safely and competently perform assigned duties, follow through when given directions, prioritize workload efficiently, and respond to emergency situations involving patient or building safety. Key responsibilities include performing basic cleaning functions within the patient setting, utilizing safe practices such as proper use of wet floor signs, safe biohazard waste handling, and linen bag change-outs.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in the hospitality field, preferably in healthcare. A good command of the English language is essential. You should be able to follow oral instructions and understand simple written instructions. Ability to follow work schedule which may vary with assignments is also required. High school diploma or GED or related experience is preferred.
