Key Responsibilities

  • Presenting legal research and analysis in written memoranda or briefs
  • Representing clients in court, advocating motions and legal issues

  • Negotiating with opposing counsel for resolution of issues

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate degree
  • Proven ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively
  • Familiarity with Federal and State Court Rules
  • Expertise in legal research, drafting briefs and memoranda, and strategic analysis

Requirements

  • Dedication to high-quality work and strategic legal practice
  • Exceptional writing skills with an emphasis on thorough analysis
  • Strong organizational, time management, and self-motivation skills

Knowledge and Education

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) and active member of the California state bar
  • Understanding of state and federal civil procedures, along with local regulations
  • Prior experience in asbestos and benzene/toxic tort litigation is highly regarded

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Occasional travel may be necessary for court appearances and depositions

Compensation:

  • Expected salary range: $90,000 to $150,000
