Critical Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Technician to provide pre-hospital advanced life support services in accordance with the Pennsylvania -Emergency Medical Services Act and related rules, regulations and regional protocols.
The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to emergency calls within a defined geographic area, performing patient assessments, and providing appropriate medical care. They will also be required to maintain preparedness for response, conduct routine equipment checks, and participate in patient safety improvement programs.
Responsibilities- Responds as dispatched within defined geographic coverage area to enhance community advanced life support services.
- Abides by all Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Laws.
- Performs patient assessment and obtains historical data; conveys pertinent findings via two-way communications systems to appropriate Medical Commander.
- Effects patient care within the scope of practice and in accordance with regional triage, treatment and transfer protocols.
- Assumes control position at scene of pre-hospital patient encounter; provides appropriate direction to primary response personnel.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
RequirementsWe require a Graduate from Specialty Training Program and Certification(s) and License(s) including Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator, Valid Driver's License and Certified Paramedic.
