Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer specializing in Communication and Navigation to contribute to our operations at Wright-Patterson AFB in a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert technical assistance to ensure adherence to avionics development standards, testing methodologies, and operational protocols related to navigation and communication systems.
- Review and assess technical documentation to confirm compliance with specifications and airworthiness standards, providing actionable recommendations for enhancements.
- Utilize engineering principles to improve the performance and sustainability of military weapon systems in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) guidelines.
- Enforce Air Force regulations concerning airworthiness and facilitate secure flight authorizations in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support the design and evaluation of weapon systems based on user specifications.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in communications engineering, including at least 5 years supporting DoD programs.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
Ability to translate user requirements into technical specifications and system designs effectively.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders across various levels.
Comprehensive understanding of engineering practices and standards.
Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret clearance.
