Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Beaufort County School District. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in enabling students to develop communication skills needed to achieve their maximum academic and social potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students with communicative disorders to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student receiving therapy services.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school personnel to facilitate carry-over of therapy gains into classroom activities.
  • Provide information, support, and guidance to parents/guardians and families to ensure they are informed and involved in their child's education.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student evaluations and therapy services provided.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid South Carolina teaching certification or be able to obtain one within 60 days of being hired.
  • Must have completed a program of study in Speech Therapy education from an accredited college or university.
