Overview:
The Quality Engineer Supervisor will oversee the Quality Department, which encompasses both Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions. This role is pivotal in the establishment, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the Quality Department, including both Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities.
  • Ensure that all products and services meet technical specifications and customer expectations.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and progressive enhancement of the QMS.
  • Track key performance metrics to evaluate the QMS's effectiveness.
  • Maintain necessary industry and regulatory certifications, such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
  • Administer a robust internal QMS audit program.
  • Facilitate customer quality audits and ensure timely follow-up responses.
  • Oversee third-party compliance audits of the quality management system.
  • Identify root causes of quality concerns and implement effective corrective measures.
  • Engage in design reviews and production readiness assessments.
  • Accountable for quality inspections at Receiving, In-process, and Final product stages.
  • Ensure all quality inspection equipment is maintained and calibrated as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (10 years) in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance within the aerospace sector, including familiarity with AS9100 and FAA PMA/Repair Station standards.
Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing context.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
  • Certified Manager of Quality.
  • Experience leading quality or technical teams.
  • Background in electro-mechanical design and manufacturing environments.
