The role of Cybersecurity Specialist is a key position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the protection and integrity of sensitive information systems. As an ISSO (Information System Security Officer), you will play a vital role in supporting the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in developing, maintaining, and overseeing the cybersecurity of assigned F-35 systems at Jacksonville ANGB, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity Policy and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable cybersecurity policies, plans, and procedures, including DoDI 8510.01, JSIG, and NIST SP 800 series.
  • System Authorization and Validation: Support the development and maintenance of system authorization packages, including SSPs, SCTMs, and Security CONOPs.
  • Threat Detection and Response: Monitor and recognize non-compliance, suspicious activity, and threats, reporting findings to relevant stakeholders and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • User Training and Awareness: Conduct role-based cybersecurity training for assigned users, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to operate securely.
  • Reporting and Data Management: Create, collect, and retain data to meet reporting requirements, utilizing tools such as Splunk, ELA, ePO, ESS, ACAS, and others.
  • Cybersecurity Event Response: Investigate, analyze, and respond to cyber events, incidents, and non-compliance, assembling detailed written reports and briefing stakeholders as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Final Transferable Secret security clearance; last Periodic Reinvestigation must be within the last five years or enrollment in Continuous Vetting program.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.
  • Possess a valid certification that meets or exceeds DoD 8570.01-M IAT II requirements, such as CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH.
  • Prior experience in a cyber workforce role, as categorized by the NICE or DoD workforce frameworks.

Compensation and Benefits:
