Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Administrator to join our Operational Technology (OT) Team at the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, administering, and securing the GLWA process control systems.

The OT Infrastructure Administrator will play a critical role in the lifecycle of the OT systems, participating in planning, design, installation, maintenance, system administration, network operations, and cybersecurity operations. This is a multifaceted position that requires strong technical skills, effective teamwork, and continuous learning.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and excelling, with a strong background in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience in infrastructure administration is required, with a valid Michigan driver's license and the ability to work irregular hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provisioning, installing/configuring, administration, and maintaining Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, including process control systems, networks, hardware, software, and related peripherals.
  • System administration for the Ovation Distributed Control System, Allen Bradley/Rockwell systems, including servers, workstations, historians, and controllers.
  • Capacity planning and management, security planning and management, and performance management of one or more systems.
  • Configuring, I/O database, HMI graphics, control logic, reporting, and communications.
  • Technical lead for internal and capital projects that include OT infrastructure components.
  • Reviewing designs to ensure they meet business and technical requirements.
  • Consulting, coordinating, and communicating with Process Operations and other business units to improve functionality and performance of the process control systems.
  • Participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the process control system.
  • Planning, designing, and implementing additions, upgrades, replacements, or retirements of network and communications OT infrastructure.
  • Performing new software releases, upgrades, evaluating and installing patches, and resolving network and communications hardware and software-related problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of infrastructure administration work experience, or a combination of related work experience and education.
  • A valid Michigan driver's license and the ability to work irregular hours.
