About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at MultiCare Health System. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will play a key role in providing crisis intervention and evaluation services to consumers and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the mental and emotional health of each consumer as needed in coordination with allied providers
  • Complete risk assessments and develop safety plans with consumers and their natural supports
  • Screen and refer patients with drug and/or alcohol problems
  • Coordinate ongoing inpatient psychiatric care for voluntary patients
  • Determine the need and facilitate requests to the Designated Crisis Responder when an involuntary detainment evaluation is indicated
  • Represent MHS and Behavioral Healthcare to community groups or individuals representing health care or mental health services
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • A Mental Health Professional as defined within HB 1724
  • Previous Crisis experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights
  • Current Washington state driver's license and proof of a safe driving record
