We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our team at PACS Inc. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nutritional care to our residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities in Bakersfield, CA.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care settings, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to improving residents' quality of life. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Nutritional Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments for new admissions, quarterly reviews, and as needed for residents based on changes in health status.
  2. Care Plan Development: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for residents, focusing on promoting overall health and wellness.
  3. Dietary Management: Ensure all residents receive diets that align with their medical conditions and dietary restrictions, including texture modifications, therapeutic diets, and supplementation as necessary.
  4. Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly monitor and evaluate residents' nutritional status, intake, and weight, and make adjustments to care plans accordingly.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, care plans, progress notes, and all other relevant information in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  6. Resident and Family Education: Provide nutrition counseling and education to residents, families, and staff as needed.
  7. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field and be a Registered Dietitian (RD) credential holder through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). California state licensure or eligibility is also required. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting, is preferred.

Salary

A competitive salary range of $114,000 - $125,000 per year is offered, along with comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off (PTO) and holidays, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, and continuing education and professional development opportunities.
