Job Title: Electrical Department Manager

Dewberry's MEPS Infrastructure team is seeking an Electrical Department Manager for our Raleigh, NC office, specializing in MicroGrid.

The successful candidate should have experience providing electrical distribution systems for large campuses, municipalities, and federal campuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers to execute projects
  • Develop technical knowledge in microgrids, medium voltage distribution, SCADA, and power system studies
  • Design electrical systems and produce design deliverables
  • Provide 'on-the-spot' advice and decisions, technical and cost estimates
  • Identify staff performing design of the project, along with a senior staff member if required
  • Identify Engineer of Record
  • Establishing/improving standards for discipline area
  • Adherence to discipline project budget

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 8-15 years of PSS operation experience or industrial projects
  • PE is required
  • Must have experience designing electrical systems and producing design deliverables
  • Proven leadership skills delegating to engineering and design staff
  • Must be a self-starter with initiative, drive and determination
  • Good verbal, writing and interpersonal skills are essential for coordination with other disciplines, and client interface
