Job Title: Manufacturing and Maintenance Expert Lead

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing and Maintenance Expert Lead to couple technical expertise with plant systems knowledge, providing overall leadership and direction for our plant maintenance team. This role will focus on equipment reliability and uptime, facilities/utilities maintenance, and systems support to production. As a key member of our team, you will supervise and coordinate the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility, equipment, and machinery.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Support internal customers in areas such as equipment/line audits, overhauls, and equipment conversion, initial runs, etc.
  • Interact with other members of the company, manufacturing, corporate technical center, and EH&S to develop strategies, resolve problems, and implement solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on technological changes such as retrofitting machinery to meet today's new law and efficiency standards.
  • Manage, coach, and/or develop plant maintenance employees.
  • Prepare and administer department budget within established guidelines for maintenance and repair of building and equipment, securing estimates and cost quotes as needed.
  • Drive root cause identification and analysis for maintenance-related failures and identify opportunities to improve.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of maintenance spare parts under inventory control.
  • Arrange for and manage third-party contractor support as needed.
  • Work closely with Operations Management to ensure production efficiencies are maximized.
  • Be responsible as an on-call contact for high-priority issues and emergencies, including equipment repair, damage control, and assignment of support personnel as needed.
  • Facilitate and support EHS programs such as hazardous waste disposal programs.
  • Lead by example, instilling and enforcing a world-class safety and housekeeping culture.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of manufacturing facilities/equipment-related experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in a supervisor/leadership position.
  • Experienced in industrial hydraulic and pneumatic principles and their use on mechanical systems.
  • Experience with Environmental, Health, and Safety practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards, specifically NFPA.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, technical manuals, specifications, and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and mathematical skills required.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively interact with internal and external customers on a variety of levels.
  • Ability to work with sufficient speed, accuracy, and attention to detail to perform job functions as required.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
Estimated Salary Range:

$120,000 - $160,000 per annum, based on location and experience.

This salary estimate takes into account the location, market conditions, and the level of expertise required for this role.
